Hi there

I'm Alex as you may have guessed.

I've had a Rascal for about 5 weeks now, having purchased it for use as a Club vehicle for another Vauxhall owners club. I've wanted one for ages though!

Went to the Billing Aquadrime VBOA show at the weekend with a whole load of gear in it, and for a bit of a giggle we entered it into the Chairman's Cup competition up against a load of other vehicles in considerably better condition.

But we only went and won 'best standard vehicle' trophy up against some seriously good completion.

We got a huge amount of positive feedback from people who had such fond memories of them back in the day!

Hope to find a bit of useful info on the site as I want to give the van the tidy up it needs. Will pop up some pictures up when I can link them over!

Welcome to the  site Alex. I am based in Dartford & carry a good stock of Rascal/ Supercarry parts. I also do all aspects of repair to them. I also own a 1960 mid series PA Cresta.

Excellent. Your name has come up before when I've been doing some hunting for the van. Good to know you are quite local to me, I'm on in Horsham so not far away!

Hello Alex, good to see more Sussex enthusiasts on here. I'm in Brighton myself and am currently jazzed up because, after months of working on a full engine rebuild, I've just managed to get my Rascal to turn over! A few little bits to do and I'll be bombing around once again.

Anyway, enough about me. Something that may be of interest to people in Sussex, or Brighton in particular, is a local mobile mechanic I spotted. He's known as 'Jarman's Mobile Car Care', email address bill_jarman@2003@yahoo.com. I was chatting to him because, amazingly, he runs a Rascal as his business vehicle, all emblazoned with his details. I haven't had call to use his services, but he seems like a handy person to have locally.

that's good to know, thanks!

Haven't been out in the Rascal for a few weeks, might have to go for a blast this weekend I think!

Hi Alex

Welcome!

I'm in Crawley, so give us a wave if you see me bombing by in the Yellow Peril over your neck of the woods! Derek who answered your post saved me Rascal back in 2013 and using it now as my daily drive for my commute to work in Copthorne, although hoping to cycle again soon, when broken arm heals! Interesting about Jarman's Mobile car car Steady-On. Have to keep me eyes peeled!!
