Last week my brother in law had his white van stolen with all his tools in it. He had his coat with all personal documents including credit cards, door keys, the lot, all stolen because he left the back door open and the drivers door unlocked for a few moments.
I am seriously thinking about protecting me new van with a TRACKER system. That might sound a bit high level on the security front but just think about the inconvenience and actual loss of the vehicle if and when it happens.
This was one of the influencers when I decided to go for a Pick-up version. At least there is no concealment of tools because the back is open to view.
My brother always opens his glove box when he leaves his car in a public place to show any opportunist thief that there is nothing to steal inside.
What a world we live in. With all the modern technology at our fingertips it is always the thief that causes us the most trouble, and yet this is the easiest problem to solve.

The first time your van got broken into? How many more attermpts did they try before they gave up Smiley

It has been broken into twice. First time they really went to town and caused lots of damage. The second time only a lock was broken because

The removable steering wheels seem a good idea!

i remove my steering wheel when not in use, and so far they have left my van alone now.
