I`m a right little Rascal

« on: November 05, 2010, 06:25:16 PM »

Hi All

Won a good set of Rascal tyres complete with well painted steel wheels on ebay a couple of days ago to replace to worn out tyres on Mary`s Daisy van, only about 1000 miles on them so was well chuffed at £67 and the Guy was a very nice man and was local to me as well, sad part was that he had scrapped his F reg Rascal van only 2 weeks before, it had 164k on the clock but was still running sweat, he had owned it from new and he only got £75 scrap value for it, he thought because it was going a bit rusty that no one would want it, what a shame that yet another little Rascal is no longer with us in whole or even just as parts.

The good news though is that he had a spare Gearbox that he had picked up but never used a spare Carburettor a Jack and Handle a Speedo, 2 wing mirrors a Brand new Door Handle and a few other parts and he sold me the lot for £60, he is also going to go through his garage and call me when he digs out all the other bits that he says he must have tucked away so all in all I was well chuffed.
