I had a phone call from one of my oldest customers Friday night asking if I had another van available. His, that he has had since I refurbed it six years ago, was stolen from his front garden Thursday night.
He lives in Dagenham. He gave chase but was too late. Said it was two young white guys. He thinks it will be found wrecked but I reckon its on its way to Africa.
He is a plumber & his tools were in it as well.
My milkman had his Transit milk float stolen whilst he was delivering at 3:30 in the morning last week by three white youths. It had 1,000 bottles of milk on it.
It was found burnt out in a pub car park in East London & then, before it could be recovered, it was stolen again!!! Probably for the diesel engine & the alloy float body for scrap.
You cannot put too much security on your vans!!!!!
From where I live its straight to Tilbury & a Rascally sea cruise to Nigeria.
Derek.

seems anyone buying one of our vans wants to export them.bloody difficult to keep them here, let alone finding a buyer who wants to keep them here
