im looking for wheels to improve the handling, not fussed on looks but need to be cheap, clear sliding doors and preferably have acceptable tires on them. email: edward.graves@hotmail.co.uk

well i would class cheap as under the £50 mark but thats negotiable depending on how close you are and the tires, like i say im not looking to make a show van, just less likely to roll, im in no rush so if you wanted more dont panic ill just have to wait

i know what you mean we are not even close 2 tyres cost me £86 this year,i will keep my eyes open for you always on the look out for bits not just for me

cheers fella, i dont know if they make wide steel wheels but even they would do, i can sandblast and paint myself so anything thats true and solid will do, thanks again Ed

if you put in pcd chart in your search engine it will give you some idea what other wheels fit, ours is 4x114 nissan almera wheels fit i have one as a spare

while on the subject. does it matter if its 114.3? and whats the max size and width of wheel you guys have used and more to the point what sizes wont fit

i think they are 114.3 i am just about to put 185/55/14 on mine,just about open side door,does depend on the wheel.i am selling 14"swift wheels with 175/60 14 but i had to get longer wheel studs for the front as i needed to put 20mm spacers on if i had put 165 on the front would have only needed a 10mm spacer and the old studs would have been o.k

wow thats lots of numbers and i only have a slight understanding of wheel sizes. i think i understand what your saying, 185 width of wheel, 60 positive offset, 14" wheel diameter. i think it will be best if i find some wheels that i ask you lot first about spacers if necissary.

185 is the width of the tyre 60 is the measurement from the rim i.e profile
