Stuck/siezed Bolts
------------------

Heat of course as Derek says, but there are times when you cannot use heat.
DIESEL!! Copious amounts, red is cheaper obviously.
If you aren't in a rush to get it off, soak a bolt in diesel for a week, it WILL shift virtually anything, FAR FAR better than the old favoured WD40. Plus Gas was always a good one too, if it's still available, but Diesel is cheaper and effective.
Don't expect miracles in 1/2 hour or overnight though.

Just for those who dont know or not sure...

To avoid future problems .....
upon re-fixing the bolts ...make sure they are in good condition well cleaned/greased

Bolts where heat is present use.......... COPPERSLIP

Bolts you dont want to vibrate loose use....thread lock compound

Since asking the question, I've found out that different products are
designed for different torques, eg Loctite 222 is low torque. Now if I could just find a shop that sold it ...
