Battery Bay - Vans

Hey guys, well today I discovered my 12v->Mains inverters warning alarm does not go off in time for my vans engine to have enough juice to re-start.
Instead of putting a 2nd battery in my van/tourvan/camper (as it would require quite ALLOT of re-wiring and re-installation of bits of the interior) when the current battery is no longer usable I want to put the biggest rated battery in the standard bay that I can.
Until I do replace the battery I have no access to the bay as it's covered with carpet that is glued / stapled down (when replacement occurs it will be pulled up...then put back down, time consuming...but the finish is better this way than having a hatch to get to the battery).
Could anyone measure or supply me the size of the battery bay where it is square in terms of...
length, where it is square/rectangular
width, where it is square/rectangular
depth, bottom to where it begins to change shape
(I.e. where the battery holder is square / rectangular...BEFORE the top of the holder where it kind of bows out at one side)
Any measurements greatly appreciated!

Ha Ha ...nice bit of design van...when you say its stapled ..then you must have lined the floor with ply or something...so why didnt you put a hatch in it to access the battery ...

There is a hatch in the plywood...
but I decided not to put a corresponding hole in the carpet as it looks nicer

Carry a battery jump pack & connect to starter to jump it. Derek.
