I'm getting an increasingly harsh clunking sound from my rascal's front wiper mechanism, also a jerky movement.  Any idea what this is likely to be, and how I might resolve it?  I assume it's gonna be a 'mare of a job, removing dashboard etc. I'm game for a go, however tricky, 'cos, beleive it or not, it rains a lot here in Manc!
Thinks......... I must get a manual!

Mmmm, unless you have ultra thin hands & arms it's a pain.
The dash will have to be moved back and/or out.
The bushes or more likely the pivot ball thingy from the motor will be worn.
Often spares on eBay, or Derek of course, but check & grease up those moving joints.
Haynes, as usual, show it 'out' of the vehicle, easy then of course!
I could scan & e mail te relevant pages if need but it's really a case of remove bits, and to quote, 'refitting is a reversal of removal' that's Haynes for you.

As Titch says it is probably the ball joint on the motor or it will be the nylon bushes that connect the operating rods. I have them all in stock. Derek.
