Hi all, after loads of trips moving home my poor little van died  Sad
I started it cold, put in reverse, drove about a foot & she died!
I have stripped her down, but have lost my haynes manual in the move, so dont know how to continue  Cry
Can anyone help or scan the relavant page?
I hope there is no bent valves as i dont relish the thought of removing the head.
Cheers

Closely inspect the tensioner wheel. Make sure the bearing is good & it spins freely

Yep Im up for that :-) We have just got back from a trip to Havant in the new Rascal (picked up 2 x distributors and a water pump for £2  Grin from a guy on Ebay) The van does not like sustained (60 mph) duel carridgeway driving  Shocked The temperature kept climbing, Ive yet to service the cooling system and have noticed there is a fair amount of cooling fins missing from the radiator! A job for the weekend me thinks.

Hi Guys, more hassle, all was going well untill i tried to fit the cambelt, it was too short Angry
It was listed as fitting the sj410 jeep, i thought this was the same engine fitted to the super carry?
Anyway, back it went along with the old one, new one should be in this morning....
Derek, the tensioner is fine, no damage to the roller & bearing is fine, water pump is also in good nick, i have given the sprockets a good clean, so all waiting for the new belt.
I will also treat her to a new oil filter & some castrol magnatec oil, will also check out the price of a new dizzy cap & leads, as she dont like the rain Grin

Hello Andy P, I don`t sell radiators but there is one on ebay for £86.00. It would be the best investment you will make.

Morning Derek, yeah Ive been looking at that and its on my watch list  Smiley I brought the van into work with me today so I could have a look at the cooling system. Went out just now and took the rad cap off and the water is a muddy brown colour so will need draining down and flushing, I will pop past halfords tonight on the way home and pick up some coolant and distilled water.
