Hi Dave,

I don't know if you have seen my other post, but my flat battery has saved my van from being nicked. A solar panel would make it even more desirable i guess.

I've borrowed a charger off someone at work so will charge it over the weekend so that when Delboy comes to fix/tow it on Monday hopefully it should all be fine.

Right, i have finally had a chance to try and recharge the battery and the Halfords charger isn't doing the job.

I've connected the red, then the black and then plugged it in and turned it on. It stays on for about 10 seconds and then there is a click inside the thing and it stops charging (which i guess is some kind of protective switch).

Maybe i should lug it down to Halfords over the weekend and get them to test it, as i may need another new one i guess. (Delboy won't be happy if I don't have a working battery for him on Monday when he gets it).

Don`t worry Simon I will be bringing a jumpstart  pack with me so lack of electricity is not a problem.

If everything else works, but your Rascal still doesn't start, it could be the switch beneath your ignition key barrel that has worn??
