I went with HIC (Highway insurance) fully comp + my wife for £180!

I have only been driving 4 years as a named driver.

They cater for campervans/motorhomes - so things like cooking fires / panel damage are covered.

They also gave me a valuation certificate + 90 days free EU cover (when needed)

Website - www.highway-insurance.co.uk

PS : I dont work for them!

I tried to insure my romahome on the back of a carry pickup but the insurance company said it was older than 20 years so would not be covered.  Bambi's seem to be OK as they are coach built onto the chasis and not de-mountable.!

But as the pod just sits on the back of a pickup its not classed as a modification, so I can insure the pickup for business use and use it for my work.

I insured the Bambi with Footman James as a second vehicle, zero no claims to start the ball rolling, they wanted £177 fully comp but this included breakdown recovery UK+Europe.

Did u manage to get the Romahome Insured? I'm just trying to sort minbe out at the moment and not getting anywhere fast at all! Aidrian Flux seem to be the only people to do it but they are useless, half an hour and 10 different departments later I've given up!

Try 2gether Financial Services, Cambridge. The guy who runs it, Gary, is ex Adrian Flux.

Try Saga Motorhomes. they insure my Elddis Nipper for £197 comp. and were very good on a claim I made for some vandalised windows.
