Hi all, last week when i was picking up the kids from school the van lost about 20% of its power and when i got home it would not start.so from previous posts i had read,i removed the fuel tank drained the fuel, replaced the hoses and refitted tank,re-kitted the carby, replaced points/condensor still would not start.it would fire but not run.checked fuel pump and bled system for air, replaced dissy cap and leeds, still no go so i removed the spark plugs to do a compression test and to my amaysment the centre electrodes on 3 of the plugs had dissapeared (i have never seen this before) put new plugs in and reset timing and runs the best it ever has.i use 95 octane rated fuel and wonder if this caused my problem...ken
