Morning after.... just had to go out and the roads are empty..
Chop, at midnight on New Year, the boats all sound their "horns" if horns is the right word.... Happens every year just as you open the back door to let the old year out and open the front door to let the New Year in.

Just to clarify things for Chop. Jenxy lives in Southampton next to Portsmouth both full of ships & the sailors on New Year`s Eve as it turns midnight like to play on there horns. That`s sailors for you!! Derek.

we do not acknowledge portsmouth yuck,bit of useless info there are no navy ships called hms portsmouth,as in an old sea battle forget which one hms portsmouth was the first to run away

Ay... will have none of that "next to Portsmouth"... bit like saying Everton is "next to Liverpool"...
Rivalry is rife and some silly sod wanted to develop the land betwixt us and lump us under a new name called... "Solent" !!
