when do they bring out next months tax disc?
or
what date do they bring out tax that starts on jan 1st?
my car tax ran out at the end of last month so it is currently sorn, but i want to tax it again
my renewal form states that i shouldnt apply before the 5th day of the month before it is due to start
however, i find it hard to believe that the dvla would give me 26 days free!

If you want tax on it before the 1/1/10 you will have to tax it from the 1/12/09. Derek.

they bring the new discs out before the 1st of each month
i have a feeling its a week before, as they cant have everyone taxing their car on the 1st of each month, the post offices would be packed!

if the car is allready taxed then i think you can get the tax disc 2 weeks in advance ...but if its sorn then you have to get it on the day it starts...1st of the month..

they give you 14 days to declare it sorn, then a few days later you could have taxed it again! i'll pop into my local post office in a day or so, and ask them there
