Hi all!,
My name is Paulo and I am from Madeira Island, Portugal.
My first car was a 1991 Suzuki Supercarry.
The poor little thing has been sitting for almost 9 years and it was about 5 years since it last worked.
My parents have been wanting for me to get rid of it from the front of the house.
Today I got the battery out of my car and bought some gas decided to have a look at it and see if i would start.
The body isn't in to much bad shape and the four tires are dead.
The engine isn't stuck, and the fuel pump is working.
It did start but seemed to be some problem with the accelerator. I don't know that muck about mechanics but could be something wrong with the carburetor.
That is all I did with it today.
I would love to bring it back to life but then there is the financial side to it.
Every one I have talked to about it have told me that its not worth it to put money in to it and that I should just get ride of it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

These are great little vans, the fact that it started after all that time is a good sign.
If it is not too rusty, it would be worth doing, they are great fun to drive.
Can you take some pictures?

Some bad news Guys!
A couple of weeks ago the only ferry that was running from Madeira to the Algarve stopped running! Sad
By plane is the only way to get here right now.
I haven't had time to put up the photos yet.

Have a look at some pics from Madeira in these 2 blogs I have:
