I have just been to visit Brian (to take his new speakers) and I fear the mechanics next door may love him as much as we do. He went in the workshop as he felt a bit rough about 20 miles from home (when we picked him up) and the electrics were more than a little interesting. He now has a sweetly running engine, electrics sorted, radio fitted, step and legs greased and freed up. Leisure battery secured, charger added for when we are hooked up, seat brackets and door hinges re-secured. Now they are fitting the speakers and pointing out the little tweaks that could be made to the exterior.
Before you say it, I know it could look like they are just adding to the bill but they are old school mechanics they keep my truck (Ford Ranger) running brilliantly even with the mileage I do  for very liitle money. It really does look like Brian is a labour of love,  plus he has been in their workshop for over a week now and drying out nicely.  New cover ordered today as I suppose I will get him back one day.

Haven't taken any pics yet but want to do so before we start filling it up with stuff. All looks pretty orginal, the stripey upholstery rather than the (I think) nicer pink square pattern, pink velour curtains, sink on the right, fridge and grill/ hob on the left. Rather fancy keeping it original, especially as it is in good condition. Just replaced the backing on one of the square cushions rest clean and very tidy. Curtains need a wash, if I can figure out how to get them off.
Just as a matter of interest did a Luton bed come as standard or as an option? In all the photo's I've seen I have only seen one with a bed matching the seats.
Have been invited to our first retro show in the Summer, Bury St Edmunds Retro Ford club think it might be a laugh.
