I think we've got the perfect venue,

Pub field, 2 acre+ Good owd rural pub, no food or fancy plastic beams etc,

walk back to the van, or stagger, at whatever time you bloody like!!!

No camping fees, just promise to drink!!!

Any other suggestions??

I will supply the Ice Cream, as long as it isn't held too far up north!

Now THAT is an offer and a half!!
Plus, I for one would be really interested in seeing your van.
How far is too far North?
Staffordshire is my thinking for our spot.

Staffordshire must be about 4 / 5 hours drive away.
My freezer lasts for about 8 / 9 hours.  So I guess I could make it.

Also today is the first outing of my van since it has been repaired. Cheers Del.

I have an older, LOADS OLDER!! ( Grin) brother in Southampton, he came up lat year in a Renault Laguna, took him 3 and a half hours.
180 miles.

We've got plenty of ground for 8 or 10 Rascals, so the offer of a night here is on too (oops, better check with the gaffer before I commit myself) no dogs though, one of ours doesn't like trespassing canines, but it could be a laugh for a photo shoot???

I don't see a problem for anyone camping at ours though, then there's a pub next door too if you like TOTALLY unaltered pubs as it was when the canal was built, In fact, the pub was built for the navvies on the canal, but the beer, Wadsworths 6X is poured in a strange way, FLAT!!

Not horizontal, just no head on it.

Have a think folks, I'm sure my beloved would be OK with it, might take the mick a bit out of us, but she is taller than me, but I'm the boss here anyway!!!  oooohh hello dear!

Don't worry, you never see a thing, that's the whole idea!!

I'll mention the queens letter to bro, he tends to await the shock comments from me...

Also, if we did get to meet up at 'our local', which thanks to me was kept open 13 years ago (another story), but Trev. the guy who runs it, was the previous owner of my pick up for 11 YEARS!!

He'd greet us for the laugh too, plus he used to spanner motors, s l o w le y, but that's another story, he's sound is our Trev though.
There' s a weekend bike rally on this weekend & May bank holiday, there's the annual, 'Middle o' Nowhere' rock do (some might say festival) But it's loud, even from here (2 miles) if the winds right

It`s sounding better & better if you can get a proper beer, Wadsworth 6X, served properly wth no head, unlike that Northern stuff that is served like Coca Cola & due to the froth you can`t get a full pint. Derek.
