slight problem with van overheating,what coulf be causing this?someone mention it could be waterpump?Huh

could be a number of things but three main reasons are:-

thermostat not opening (take it out see if it makes a difference)

water pump not pumping (if you lower level in radiator you should be able to see water rushing around)

blocked or inefficiant radiator (re-core  or  replace)

Usually radiator.
Is there any chance the radiator froze or partially froze. This crushes some of the radiator water channels which seriously restricts water flow & therefore cooling ability.
