Mak,

OK..carrying on from the other posts....

No problem doing the carb of course, then you'll know that it's perfectly, 100% clean internally.

But I really do think it's something to do with those pipes etc, as Dell Boy says, it's gotta relate.

Are you OK without the carb for a good week, allowing for postage could be a good week.
Whereabouts are you though, I'm Staffs/Shrops border..any use??

Hi Titch,

I'm based nr Gatwick area.  I dont use it all the time and I know I have a few weeks at the end of Jan to get it sorted.

Am ordering some vascuum hoses for it and have a play with it at the weekend and let you know the outcome

Hi Mak,

OK, I think it's a definate YES to change all them hoses for new, as a simple service item as the vans get older. Carb sonic cleaning is good for all vehicles too obviously. My mate who has it, he doesn't actually run it for a business, but bought it, at quite a large investment I can tell you, initially for his motorcycle projects...any 'jobs' from it's use is only to help recover some of the costs. He was quoted over £400.00 to have his 3 carbs sonic cleaned for one of his bikes, the machine and tank would need using only twice at that price to pay for it.. then there's the ingredients ( liquids ) to put in it... he did offer to do my stuff at 'Mates Rates' but I won't let him do it.. I'll be honest I've had to FORCE' £25.00 at him for doing some.. I think £30.00 is fair, don't you?? It's only the postage on top that adds a bit to it unfortunately, but I'd guess that won't be anywhere near a tenner in the UK??

DellBoy can collect your van, and without appearing to 'be in bed with Dellboy' I have been to his emporium, yep, all the way from the Shropshire borders, and believe me, he's got the parts, knowledge & experience.

look out for any neighbouring dogs, and Don't Avoid Toll Booths!!!!! He'll tell you what I mean!!

Titch,

Yes please, if I could arrange to get the carb cleaned - it would be much appreciated!

Am going to tie up with Derek and get his assistance with my Rascal.

Quesion would be, what would I do with two running vans after! (here's hoping!)
