got a problem my van keeps dying the revs are up and down,checked plugs one at a time with a new one,checked leads have copper ones,swapped dizzy cap,rotor arm,checked timming,swapped coil,fuel pump is good,new battery any idea anyone

got a spare carb think i can find it no, at a bit of a loss,wondering if its an earth problem,i have put a thicker earth cable from battery to body

obvious stuff like petrol pump....blocked filter ....then check vaccume pipes..yours is a technical beast compared to mine with all the emmision stuff...so not much more i can help with....is it running then just cutting out...?

I would say it is definetly a fuel/air ratio problem not elecrical. Sounds like an air leak in gizmos pipe connections or a gizmo malfunctioning somewhere along the line.

it sounds like it is sort of missing then dies,one for you derek got a leccy gizzmo under drivers seat with 2 vacumm like pipes coming off it that has been making buzzing noises every few minutes i noticed,do you have one just incase mines u/s

I had similar problems with my old Jap Suzuki. It just takes one of the multitude of emissions pipes to come loose or get a small split and running goes out of the window. I found that if ever I had a running problem or cutting out it was always one of the pipes going into the square box under the drivers seat. Usually one would have come off although once a tiny split in one which took days to find caused terrible running problems.
The later Jap built ones can be a pain when they go wrong!

i have had half those emission pipes disconnected no problems with running,also had and earth problem cleaned them all up another lesson learnt,definitely a labour of luv these vans lol
