Going out for a ride on one of my Nortons, haven`t decided which one yet. Roads will be nice & quiet.
Then home for Chrissymas dinner this evening.
Foster daughter has gone out on her new bike so all quiet at present. Grandchildren coming tomorrow so bedlam will reign!!!

Sorry to hear your bad news Robin.
I was made redundant in 2000 from a London council in the last monetary crisis when it was decided they did not need the expense of Clerks of Works to manage/monitor/control council building projects. Builders could be trusted to work within the council contract without supervision. Pigs can fly as well!!!!
Surprise,surprise, this year they started recruiting Clerks of Works again to control the dodgy builders.
The wheel turns full circle, again!
I fell into being self employed & found my niche & have survived.
Sometimes some lateral thinking creates new openings.
