She is burning quit a bit of fuel, i filled up with 20 quid @ 1.14 per ltr on monday which took it to over half way, today is near empty. i haven't done alot of driving miles this week.

Is is worth giving the motor a good service in the new year ?

Be a good idea mine is crap on fuel unless i go on a long run then its only mid 30s

I suspect your guage could be like mine....a bit dodgy...

fill tank untill you can see petrol in spout....note milage
run around untill you need petrol again..take note of milage
fill up petrol again so you see petrol in spout

amount of petrol to fill up..and milage ......easy peasy to work out

if you do this all the time it will give a great average ...

Im in Guernsey, there is no VAT on fuel as we are VAT exempt 1.14 is the cheapest over here, it tops at about 1.25.

Ok thanks CHOP, will try it out along with a good old service in the new year.

at least if you get a good average....you know whatever you do in the future if its having any affect...for better or worse...its a starting point
