Hi

I'm a new member, and am now the proud owner of a K-reg Rascal. It was once someone's 1st August (1992) pride and joy and, according to the price list at the time was a cool £5,310 + VAT (even cheaper than a Nova van (£5,720) or AstraMax (£7,145).

Sooty (that's what his previous owner called him....) is a standard model, with no flash extras (such as a rear wash-wipe) but is is Flame Red (you never see many Cargo Yellow ones around these days, but you do see the odd Breeze Blue one).

Tomorrow, he will be treated to a new set of correct van-spec 155 tyres, after an almost distressing rapid deflation on the A1 this afternoon caused some rapid scrutiny of what I thought was a safe situation - but turned out to be incorrect 145 car spec tyres. Very luckily a lay-by was at hand; he obviously comes with his own guardian angel...

Anyway, I do have a question. My wheels are currently silver and rust. Originally, they would have been white - but what shade was used? Was it Glacier White?

Also, I have a Facebook page for the van - simple search for 'Bedford-Vauxhall Rascal' - please come and say hello...

Regards

Mel

Welcome to the site Mel.
The wheels were probably painted in Bedford/Suzuki Cargo White.
Whereabouts are you located?

Derek.
