Is it best to run the fridge of the 12V leisure battery when parked up or use the gas. I have a smartcom split charger unit and if i want to run the fridge of the 12V leisure battery how do i do this without using the ignition switch. Sorry to be a bit thick but not sure what to do.  Noel

Hi Eric, if you mean the standard Bambi fridge (Electrolux/Dometic RM122/123) they would not normally be wired so they can run off the leisure battery.  The reason for this is that they would flatten the battery quite quickly as the fridge takes 7-8 amps - that's about the same as a pair of headlights and we all know what happens when headlights get left on  Roll Eyes

By the sound of things, gas is your friend for now...
