Being two old f-----ts has any one made the single beds a bit wider not as a permanent fixture as i would like to keep the original layout  in the van

Hi Eric, I've seen some wooden extensions that can be clipped in to extend the single bed for single Bambi owners but must confess I haven't seen it done for two people.

Ah, OK.  In that case I've seen these in home made form - they are a length of plywood about 1/2" thick and about 8" wide with about four legs on them.  They clip onto the existing wooden rail that would normally support the central base of the bed.

Some of the single Bambi club members I've seen use these as they allow the bed to be left made up so saving the chore of making and "un" making the bed  Smiley

I extended my bed by fixing together with hinges, 2 length of 1/4" ply about 10 inches wide and as long as the bed. These were then fixed to the edge of the bed (under the cushion) with more hinges.

To use you lifted the cushions, spun the ply over until it was flat then swivel the other half down to make a full length support.  Worked for me fine.
