Hi all, my name is iain and i live in leeds west yorkshire.

Always been a lover of the rascal, and i have just secured my own.

I purchased `sooty` on monday from ebay, he was just about to be exported (seems a common thing with these)

he joins my small collection of vehicles, i have a mk1 austin metro and a mk1 imported renault twingo.

He does have a current mot, hes at my friends garage at the moment as my garage has the metro in as im exibiting at this years NEC classic car show

Sooty will then be driven to my garage, where i plan to get him back to factory condition (i enjoy origionality in vehicles)

he is missing the `rascal` decals, and the rear door catch is broken, more worryingly he is smoking quite badly, but i have done top end rebuilds on all my cars, so im hoping its the valve seals

the plan is to restore him to factory condition.
i hope to be a regular forum member, and if anyone is breaking a rascal i would like to here from you Smiley

heres a pic Smiley
