I've just discovered the DAF Pony!

Variomatic transmission, they were fun, not, Some Volvo 343 models had this and you could here em revving for miles !!.

- That is going to take some work.
I'm guessing the transmission is similar to modern scooters 'cvt' (constantly varying transmission). They are good as they keep the engine constantly on it's power band no matter what speed you are doing, the downside is while driving/riding you only ever get one rev 'note' and depending on the engine that can be bloody annoying at times
