Hi all,

Lately, I have noticed an amazing amount of car accidents in my area unfortunately. In fact, more in the past few months then I can ever remember in my 7 years of safe driving. Among the accidents I have recently witnessed (but thank god I havent been involved with)

Aftermath of a courier off his bike and lying motionless in the central reservation of the A3 after being dragged there (thankfully public were helping him not sure if he was concious though)
Bike side impact with car at junction in Acre lane (Brixton)
Multiple car pile up on A3. Saw atleast one victum being stretchered away.
Another mutli vehicle pile up on the A3 right near where the courier was off his bike.
Some road fatality signs and flowers left.
Probably more I can't think of right now.

Anyway, Rascals or Bambi's arnt exactly cutting edge in the safety department, but if I did get involved in an accident, and I was alive to tell the story, the insurance company might want to write off Bambi. Does anyone think it's worth getting a valuation of their particular vehicle? Obviously no two Bambi's are the same (state of repair, factory fitted options etc) and without being a total snob, ebay prices just wouldn't do my vehicle justice.

So I'm thinking it might be worth getting a professional valuation done on Bambi. It would obviously have to come from someone the insurance company would trust and take seriously. I might need to confirm this with them though.

Oh and finally, I would want to re-imburse that person for their time and postage costs!

Cheers.
