Yet another Bambi for sale advertising over 50mpg.  I've emailed the seller telling her the actual average mileage and to be straight with people.

Will she change it?  Watch this space - Ebay item number 150675183769

I wish that my Rascal van was so economical.  Wink

My wee blue van averages between 30 and 35mpg depending on the number of cold starts and short journeys. The worst that I've had so far is 28mpg.

You can get 50 m.p.g. on a well set up standard van.
No altered exhausts or filters etc.
Lots of freewheeling & gentle driving & plan your route to avoid traffic & stop/start driving.
If you race about playing tunes on your exhaust with the alternator going flat out powering a stadium sound system fuel economy will suffer.
Alternator drag is a factor many people dont factor in.
In winter with the heater & lights on fuel consumption figures will drop by about 5 miles a gallon or possibly more.

Try leaving the choke halfway out on a 100 mile run - 20mpg  Sad ....

Remember to put the choke in on the way back 33mpg  Grin

Never managed to beat 33mpg with the Romahome, but will try when we get the electronic ignition fitted...eventually!
