Hey everyone. I'm relatively new to all of this and I'm also a new driver n my 1996 Suzuki supercarry is my first set of wheels. I got her for a bargin price but MOT is up n I got two problems that I need to sort just wondering if u guys got any advice for me.

1st problem is a starting problem. She won't turn over properly.n when I do get her going she has a habit of just switching of mid drive n now and then won't start ip again. Now I've gone through everything like the sparks n the fuel but everything's fine the one thing is though the zoraniod (excuse spelling) is slightly loose n if I remove starter motor n replace it she usual fires up first time. So I'm guessing she needs a new starter motor but don't want to go spending money on one if she don't need one. So any advice would be great.

2nd problem is a slight leak of water but can't find where it's coming from. It only leaks a little for about a minute or two but only when I top up the radiator n bottle n then will drip every time I start her up n sumtimes after cooling down. I'm putting roughly 500ml of water in every 4-7 days depends on usage. The drip is coming from in-between timing belt n engine but can't see where it's running from. I've checked radiator n that's fine n I've checked overflow but no luck. She gets a little hot aswell sumtimes. But guessing to low amount of water. So any advice would be good as don't wanna spend all the Xmas money on anti freeze lol.

Thanks for reading my short story n will be very grateful for any advice. From Kobicarry and the van.

Thanks for the advice. I live in vale of Glamorgan south Wales. Do u think a Bedford or vauxhall starter motor would fit my Suzuki. Or even a starter motor of a swift? As I've priced a new 1 up for around a the £100 Mark.

Vauxhall/Bedford Rascal & Suzuki Supercarry are all interchangeable though there are variations in the way they are wired.
If you haven`t got one yet buy a Haynes manual.
Read it carefully to understand how things work.

Thank you for the advice. So will a Bedford/vauxhall starter motor fit a suppercarry?
Or do I need to check a Haynes manual first

Yes it will. Thats what I was saying in the last post.
Almost all parts are interchangable from 1985 to 1992 as all three models came of the same production line in Luton during this period. Suzuki,Bedford & Vauxhall.
On the later 1993 to 1998 most parts in the supercarry though built in Japan are common with the earlier models.
No parts, as far as I am aware, are common to the Suzuki Carry 1.3.
