i had this problem on friday all pointed to the carb as i had run fuel really low,after having a look at the verwood meet with noah he notice an earth wire on top of the engine near dizzy had broken off reconnected it she is now perfect i will post photo for future ref,cheers noah

it was black with a red fleck . bolted to the inlet manifold where the gear cable guide clamps on. i think its to do with the oxygen sensor Huh?
