i want to lower the front and back of the van by a couple of inches
i know i can use ford lowering blocks for the back but how do i do the front
i know you shouldn't cut the springs as you need a flat bottom on the spring for it to sit in the holder
is there a certain set that people have found that fit the rascal van??
i also have been told u can use the leaf springs off an sj but u have to do a bit of adjusting

I know a while ago Sj off-roaders were always after Rascarry leaf springs as they are supposedly stiffer and  increased ground clearance. So fitting SJ springs to a Rascarry should theoretically reduce ground clearance. I believe it was a fairly straightforward swap. But SJs have leafs on the front so thats no use whatsoever on a Rascal which of course has coils.

check out this. A fella got pro-tech to make custom coilovers for his rascal and sj springs fitted to the rear.

Hi Garderner i have read that guys thread and as was mentioned earlier, he had some custom coilovers build which i thought looked sweet. However this can sometimes be expensive but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative i would try these http://www.graystonengineering.com/suspensionpage.htm .

They are coil spring clamps that can be used to lower or higher your ride height, i plan to use them myself on my super carry along with the lowering kit for the rear leafs. I have read some reviews about the spring clamps, the majority of people that used them for lowering said they were a good option, but were not so keen for hiring the ride as they stiffen the spring as one guys springs snapped clean in half  Huh, i reckon he must have been tracking or something lol, but defo something worth considering.

Peace Out

Roy.
