The bottom stud for the rear damper on my pick up has snapped. It goes into the leaf spring hanger, any ideas if you can replace/repair them or is it a whole new hanger?

You will have to replace the lower plate, we have plenty in stock, not too bad a job, and if you like we can 2 used U bolts in case yours break.
We will need to know which side has broken as they are handed.
regards Tim.

Got lucky at a local scrap yard. Two lower plates for a fiver. I only need one (right hand side I think), what side do you need Chop?

Just checked it today, my one that broke is the LEFT hand side, so I do have a RIGHT one to spare Chop. I've had to bodge it on for now as it turns out the pick up model ones are smaller ( I got these off a Rascal van), so when I've repaired the original I'll have another to spare (Definitely left side). Let me know Chop.

I cut the broken stud off the old bracket so it's flush and drilled and tapped a 6mm thread into it. As the original nut on the side is only to stop the damper sliding off the stud, I reckon it should hold it tight. The stud is probably big enough in diameter to go out to a 8mm thread. Any opinions as to if this is a good enough repair, or just a finely done bodge?
