I have hooked Bambi up to the mains using an adaptor for the first time, and after awhile the face plate becomes very hot, almost too hot to touch. Is this normal or is there something serious / dangerous / bad going on potentially?

There are vent holes around the housing box so I assume it's meant to get hot, but I wonder if this is too hot.

ALso, correct me if I'm wrong but to the best of my knowledge the zig works in the following way :

Touring mode, charges leisure battery via main battery and supplies to the fridge.
On site mode, charges leisure battery via MHU cable.
Mains on switch. Off : Not really sure about this one, but I'm guessing it stops the MHU cable supplying the leisure battery as the lights dim but 240v appliances remain on.

Thanks all.

What condition is your 2nd Battery in ? as the Zig will get quite hot if is charging at a heavy rate.
They do get warm, but never noticed one being too hot to touch the face panel.

Both batteries are brand new, and the leisure battery is an 85ah one.

Last week I had a self switching relay fitted and had the leisure battery terminal fixed. Wonder if somethings going on.

Help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
