Back at it Monday...... really wanna win euro lottery...

But I have achieved today...actually filled in job application & sent it off...Que Sera....lottery would be better!!  Wink

I got A dilemma..  2 jobs on offer....

mobility service engineer.....travelling up to 1500 miles a week up and down country servicing  mobility scooters (electric powered wheelchairs)..involves alot of driving...and dealing with elderly and disabled..? monthly paid

CNC operator and assembler in a small workshop/factory unit for a company that makes aluminium cupboards and other things for ambulance interiors etc...weekly paid..?

both similar rubbish pay...what to do..?

should i wait for better or take one and keep looking...?

which one should i take...?

take the monthly one at least you be your own boss out meeting people doing something different most days,dont think icould do nine till five on production line basis and whilst out on the road you could at least still go for job interveiws without asking the boss

While you are driving you are  not exactly working as such,aprox 30 hrs driving not much time left too work lol

the driving could actually be anywhere in the uk its a company van ....overtime is available when really busy...but most work is planned on an 8 hour day...delivering ..picking up..and minor on site  repairs...

the manufacturing job is more me...its what im used to...its 10 hour days mon-thurs .operating machines and assembly of parts ..fri sat sun off...or work friday as overtime...??


i need a decision for monday..i cant make it

well stick to what u r used to then but it wouldnt be for me driven most places in uk for work even went to lwestoft just to reset a relay because health and saftey woulkdnt let them do it  two of us five hours driving  20 seconds work lol had to be two of us because we working on live panel ,hand s say u cant work on live panel so how do u find the fault.lol

I'd go for the manufacturing one Chop, somehow..somehow, the travelling one seems a bit,.... dunno,..something iffy about it...HOWEVER, I can supply you with some rechargeable batteries for the scooters...say no more.....

IF NOT, TOSS FOR IT CHOP!!!

i like the sound of being out and about..instead of being stuck in a factory....but knowing me i will probely get the drops and pickups in moss side and chappletown..chessington etc.all the rough not desireable dismal places ..drive by shootings..and having to dodge abandoned shopping trollys and stray dogs

Yes do be careful, there are some decididly dodgy people in the less salubrious parts of south London like Chessington and Bermondsey.  Stick to the engineering job, the bonus is a four day week  Wink

HAHA....oh ruth ...i would feel much safer being up north locked in a workshop there are some nutters around...

i think my decision has been made.....small engineering works it is...

call me engineer chop from now on....well from monday..?
