Hi folks,

Want to replace engine in my suzuki supercarry. Does anyone know if a Jimny 16v 1.3 engine would be ok to put in my van?
Cheers!

i tghink that engine sits upright under the bonnet,,,,, it might fit if it will run properly leaning overon the rascal mountings.

Yes it will provided it is engine code G13B... you will need to swap a load of parts from your original engine though (including inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and sump etc)

If you do get another engine from the Suzuki carry instead I will buy some parts off your old busted engine.

EDIT: I assume you are talking about the later Suzuki Carry van that came with a G13BB engine installed as standard.

Hi, this is Rob, Liz's partner, the current engine is a F10A, the vehical is a 96, do you think the 1.3 could shoehorn in as I think there's a lot more on the market, used in the Swift etc? If it was just a case of swapping/adapting the ancillary parts, wouldn't be a problem. Either way, thanks for the reply  Smiley

Well I am about to start putting a G16B 1.6 Suzuki engine into my Bambi.

It can be done but you need basically a complete engine from the later Suzuki carry van for the inlet/exhaust manifolds, sump and various other bits.
