anyone got an engine ..that fancies a second chance...or just a decent block to build on...i think mine has had its day well 23years 156.000 miles....a re-bore is too expensive

Try honing the bores & new piston rings. You`ll be amazed at the difference provided there is not much of a step at the top of the bore. If running your fingernail up the bore it does not stop dead at the wear step but slides over it with a slight jump the bore is reusable.

the thing is derek ...i need my truck its my daily vehicle...i use it for work...so what i want is to get an engine ready to swap over on a weekend...
