Exasperated!

Sorry if I am not quite the singey-dancey introduction type, but as a newcomer, I have to say I found it more than a bit difficult to register/navigate this site initially. Sorry if I have ruffled any feathers, but this has been a very stressful few days, I have (finally!) registered on behalf of my brother who has just bought a Bambi from E-bay , and is not very technically minded, which has put the pressure on me! He is concerned that it runs very hot (no thermostat, as he has just found out, along with a broken housing stud ) Also it appears not to want to go much above 45mph, and wallows like a pig in mud! Thats before I read the "Bambi buyers guide!!" Depressing stuff all-in-all!!
Anyway, ranting over , hopefully someone out there has some ideas of what I should look for regarding the above, specific to this vehicle.

we all have to start some where the security on the site has been tightened due  to getting a spam session .welcome to the site some one will halp with your querys just be al ittle patient and go with the flow it is a rather light hearted  forum but does have serious side to it with regard help if  we can and if not then we keep stum well ido my mech know;ledge is ltd anyway what has he bought then is a rascal ,carry, honda, and is it a bambi or knauas {that something i have learnt} and what age is it some one somewhere will help

Wow! I've registered on a few Classic car forums, and never had this level of security to get through- must have been quite a spam-attack you suffered!
Owning a Moggy Minor as a daily car myself has made me drift toward the "light-hearted" end of the spectrum due to the risk of offending rivet-counters!
Having obtained security clearance, I will obediently try to post in the correct sections from now on! I feel a steeeeep learning curve coming on!

I too have had many problems accessing the site  I have had to reregister under my partner's name as i cannot access my own account  Not to worry though as i am back in now
