It's that time of week again........... SO, what are you all up to and with an extra day too!!  I'm working tomorrow night then off for a whole week HOORAY!!!! Beryl the hippy hut is taking us away from it all................... Praying i'll be wearing these  |

day off on saturday then 2 aeroport transfers on sunday and being an express train (rail replacement!) between London and Brum on Monday Loads of fun  |

Well I'm now working 4-On, 4-Off in work...so working the whole thing Ah well, had my 'bank holiday' the last four days getting a mobile power supply sorted for festivals in the summer and my tent too. Think next days off I seriously need to adjust my vans gear stick linkage as gears are getting very hard to get, especially 1st...hopefully a quick play with the spanners and the haynes can suss it in time for the next rally |

Saturday replacing the mastic on my Bambi and checking out the wood frame to see if it needs any bits replaced. Sunday visiting one of the members of this group (slowcoach), Monday probably more Bambi work if it isn't raining |

It's NOT going to rain AT ALL from now & all next week THANKYOU!!!... i'm off I want POSITIVE thinking please!! I am also now going to the 2CV London to Brighton on Sunday...should be jolly (I hope) Claire I am expecting the correct train noises coming from you on your replacement..... I am doing them in my head as I type!!! (Well it is 3am-ish!! & I don't want to be sectioned ....well not this week anyway!!!)  |

Van, Check you do not have too much freeplay in the clutch cable causing the clutch not to disengage cleanly resulting in a poor gearchange.
Also that bracket on side of gearbox has not cracked & is bending. This is a common defect.
Freeplay on clutch cable under the van should be about 20 m.m. up & down.

I saw a van version of a 2CV heading up the M23 at 19.00 this evening. The back of it looks very much as though they'd fitted it with an'Anderson Shelter' |
