What people forget is that a lot of the time most vehicles are driven around carrying just the driver !
As soon as you plonk someone in the passenger seat this alters the handleing of a small van or pick-up.
Also if like me you are of a more rotund nature ("Fat bugger" i hear you all say) this will be differant to say my wife driving (@ 9 stone when dripping wet !)
Also if the fuel tank in near empty this could possible alter the ballance.
I am also told that the bambi's handle better with the on-board water tank full (i think they hold around 11 gallon's & 110 lb in weight)
With so manu variables i would not expect the bull bars and spare wheel to make any differance.

Trouble is the bambi is even slower than normal, uses more petrol & after last years tour of the west country, has to be in first gear to get up those steep hills  Wink

I have seen bambi's fitted with towbars, fine if you live in a flat place, but must be scary on hills  Roll Eyes

I concur!  I don't fill the watertank in the romahome as the weight left for stuff in it is fairly limited.  Water sloshing about could also make it a bit unsteady if it wasn't full as well.

Performance is leisurely, but it will cruise at 55/60 ish ok.  We have been all over the Peak District and North Wales and its coped ok.  The guy who had it before went to the Lake District in as well - not sure I'm that brave yet  Grin

We did a 1000 mile round trip from our home near Dover to Corwall and back following the coast from here, through Hastings, Brighto etc, round the lizard & lands end, Port Izacs them up on to Bodmin Moor.  Took about a week but filled up 8 times with such a small fuel tank !   Also been to Wales on a round trip and had no problems with the Bambi at all.
Just have to remember to drive steady and not expect to get there yesterday !
