Camper went in for MoT this week to see what was needed 2 new wiper blades 1 new bulb &horn/rear hub stud plus some welding now got an MoT ticket with no advisories Wink All that was done prior to it was swap the tyres &wheels over and bleed the brakes even passed the MoT on the old rusty discs and ads although new ones are to get fitted tomorrow. Looks like if I can sort out the insurance and tax I'll be camping in it next weekend Cool

My Bambi goes for its MOT next Saturday. Needs a bit of welding - would probably pass as it is but I'd rather do it for my own peace of mind. Finding a proper locking fuel cap is going to be the biggest hurdle I think.

I think the Bambi pickup cabs last a lot better than the vans etc because they're only generally used in the summer time and don't see a lot of winter road salt.

Hi Bryan, for a filler cap please contact eBay seller petrolcaps2008: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/petrolcaps2008/

They did a locking filler cap for my Bambi and it's perfect.  Please let them know that you want a Rascal pickup filler cap.

That's a shame, I should have bought a couple at the time Sad  Thanks for letting us know.

Well I finally got a locking fuel cap but the Bambi failed on:
- Headlight alignment off
- Emissions too high (5.6% should be under 3.5%)
- Rear brake pipes corroded
- And two small holes the size of a 1 pence piece (which weren't there until the MOT tester got his hammer out)

And to think that this passed MOT last year in England with probably most of these faults! Our MOT system is very strict over here fully computerised and if the computer says no then it's a no.

More upside down welding to do.... great!!!
