I discovered this morning that the baby seat doesn't fit in my Bambi camper van. The front seatbelt isn't long enough to go around the car seat.

Has anyone else had this problem? Did later vans have longer belts or will I have to find one from another car to suit?

My child seat fits in fine, but its a 9 month plus one, so not a proper baby seat as such. The belt doesn't go around the front, it goes across the back of the seat...if that makes sense. How old is your child?

Edit: This is the one we have, does 15kg-32kg

you can buy seat belt extentions like this...

I don't know if that would even help - might *just* make it long enough to go round the front of the seat.

My little dude is 7 weeks old today.

I had hoped to belt him in the the rear bench seats but the car seat needs to face the back of the van.

I've ordered this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260679964376

The design of our baby seats means that it needs to be extended from the mounting point just inside the door rather than extended at the clip in socket.

Hopefully this will do the trick and we an enjoy days and weekends away in our little Bambi Smiley
