They do kits for landrovers as well - seem to rave about if on their forums - really think I'm gonna get one of these for the rascal after payday!

Maplins do an electronic ignition kit that achieves the same as this. If you can handle a soldering iron you can save a few quid. I had one on my Bond Bug and many years ago on a Cortina. They make a very noticeable difference in starting and running. You throw away the condenser and keep the points but now a new set will last 50,000 miles. Highly reccomended.

highly recommend electronic ignition never had any problems since i had mine fitted a good few years ago

this elctronic ignition seems very tempting but does anyone have a guide on how to fit it? I'm sorry but i'm a bit of a spanner i normally work on classic minis with engine transplants (ecu's injection models ignition already done)!
