Hi all,I am a first time poster and have just bought a 2003 Carry ice cream van. I live in Norway now and the roads are shocking so wanted to know if there is some way I can toughen up the suspension/shocks,or are they quite sturdy.I dont pick it up until this sunday so its all new to me.Any advice I need to know bout the Carry?Anyway, like I said I am new here and look forward to getting to know you all,be lucky,Mick.

I guess that there isn`t much knowledge on 1.3 Carry`s as the enthusiasm on this site is for the pre gizmo Rascarrys because of there simplicity & charm.

I shall be looking after a 2004 Carry for an old Rascarry
customer but I am not looking forward to it.

You could get the suspension beefed up  with stronger springs & assisters.

Derek.

There is a general Suzuki forum at
http://www.suzuki4u.co.uk/
There is a Carry Van section.

(Mrs Spacehopper has a Carry which is great - but it just doesn't have the 'class' of the Rascarry!!)

Also A Bambi Owner

I Have both a Rascal based Bambi and a Romahome demountable on a 1.3 carry pickup.

The Bambi has an extra leaf assistors but i saw an article on another forum where someone fitted springs off of a motorbike between the rubber bump stop and the bodywork on a Citron romahome to act as assistors.  He fitted metal cups on the body to take the end of the spring and the other went over the bump stop.

Presumably this would also work on a carry/supercarry, its just getting the size right and knowing where to get the springs.
