Hi Peeps first post just in the process of picking up a D reg bambi which needs new round rubber things having a look around it seems that 4x114 PDC fits is this straight on without mods/spacers and does it cause any issues with the MoT? incase they protrude also does it throw out the speedo by any margine?

if the overall size of the wheel + Tyre is the same then the speedo  wont be affected...114.3 is the correct PCD but the offset and width has to be taken into consideration ....then there is the center bore which is the big hole in the middle it needs to be 60.1 mm or more....there are lots of other things to take into account ...not as simple as first thought...??

Yeah sounds it! not bothered about the speedo as can measure with a satnav/GPS however would like a set of alloys that will bolt straight on that I can source from a scrappy

Take it both them and the steel wheels will fit straight on then with no fuss? What about Rover wheels anyone tried those yet?

primera wheels fit as well that is my spare, just have to watch out for the front wheels do not touch front suspension but you will get away with a 10mm spacer on the front without changing studs

Having a look at the biker chart the swift details are below and I take it they bolt straight on with no mods?

Swift 89> PDC4x114 offset  35 to 42 bore 60.1
Rover 600 93 to 99 PDC4x114 offset35 to 42 bore 64.1

What would the different bore size mean in terms of fittment?

some older wheels used to rely on the center bore to alighn the wheel and the nuts just hold the wheel on....but most modern wheels have counter sunk wheel holes and nuts to suit which alighn them....if you want to fit older type wheels on sometimes you have to buy spigot rings to fit in the gap..to keep it central..

What you have to remember id that the studs/bolts are only to hold the wheel on, not hold up the weight of the vehicle !

Beleive it or not, i have lost two wheels off of my 4 wheeled trailer (in seperate incidents) and they were never to be found. (only found out when i got to the destination)

And one time it was empty, so i cam only assume that the bouncing up and down caused too much force on the studs and sheered them off.
