well have taken one spark plug out and turned it over their seems to be a spark but plugs look like they could be renewed, have bought some today.
so i will say yes theirs a spark
petrol pump sounds ok from what i,ve read on here, clicks like mad at frist then gradually come to a stop
I would not know where to start with the timing, can this change over night Huh

When you say it turns over like mad ...Huh...is the timing belt ok..Huh

if it was running then the timing is probebly ok..

is petrol getting to the spark plugs...are they wet with petrol..??

sound like its something daft or a combination of a few daft things...trial and error is the only way ...

keep at it....
