Looked at a van today and i'm seriously thinking about buying it. It needs a bit of work(what K reg doesn't) but has t&t. I just wondered what the avalibilty of repair panels are. It could do with a o/s/r arch and the bottom rear corner of the N/S sliding door. Also needs a new gear selector cable, but that was about it. The engine ran sweet as a nut, only 35K from new Thanks Gary

If cheap enough, go for it, don't worry about the body, you should be able to get all the bits you need easily, there is loads of spares on ebay. They are an easy vehicle to work on, so go on, treat yourself

The only panels available are front arches as far as I am aware. Derek.

Fingers crossed then. Attend to the water leak immediately as loss of coolant generally means loss of engine. Where is the leak coming from? Derek.

Hopefully just a top hose required then. Derek.

chop, ine is going the same way, tell me about the repair you did, steel tube into alloy casting, maybe tricky but im thinking of threading a pipe into the alloy, or catching a good bit of steel and welding on to it.

OK derick..i think the old post is on here somewhere....but basically i think the hole is exactly 13mm...and i found a piece of steel tube that was slightly bigger about 13.4mm (good set of digital verniers)...i then put the piece of steel tube in the freezer and heated up the alloy housing....then whacked it in with a hammer and it went like a dream ....and its still in ...never leaked ...great result.... ..intuition and imagination..strikes again
