I don't know about anyone else's, but my pick up is in my bad books.. It just hates this damp atmosphere, we've had fog like pea soup for three days and it just won't bloody run else it would be fetching my logs from a pals yard!!
Maybe I should put another Rayburn in the back JJ,, HEAT & TRACTION at the same time!!

Have a look in the dark Titch. See if you can spot any tracking. Or dry the coil with a hot air gun/hairdryer & if it still wont go dry the distributor & work your way through the system a section at a time until you get some action which should bring to light the problem area. In cold, damp air it may be too rich & flooding due to the increased density of the air. Internal combustion works with greater efficiency the denser/more highly oxygenated the air is that is being pumped into the combustion chamber the greater the explosion. Derek.

My one has been the same.
Just got new HT leads, plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm for it so hopefully that will solve the issues.
Bit off topic but does anyone else have electronic ignition? i ask because the lead from the coil to dizzy has a plastic box type thing on it half way along, do i need it for the electronic ignition as the new leads dont have it.

Rascal electronic ignition is all contained within the distributor. Make sure the coil is very clean. It may be holding the damp & tracking out. Derek.

What a wonderful day spent logging ........again
Three huge heavy loads, truck coped ever so well again.
However it did get stuck and I had to pull it out of the soggy peat with a winch!.....another action packed Rascal day.
Turned 69,000 genuine miles today, I have had it since 61,000 and its had EIGHT oil and filter changes since arriving!!!!
My truck is amazing, quite how it carries so much is a mystery.
Tomorrow sees another transformation as the hard top is going on to carry our dogs to the beach.
Sunday its mountain-biking again....
Its all go for an elderly Rascal in Somerset
Happy New Year to all Rascal enthusiasts,
Stronger
PS. I tried to put a truck on the for sale section...it has not appeared?...is this because I am a junior member?
